John, House Republicans appear to be trying to nominate Rep. Jim Jordan as the next Speaker of the House. This comes on the heels of weeks of infighting, including prior nominee Steve Scalise dropping out of consideration. Rep. Jim Jordan would be disastrous as Speaker of the House. Jim Jordan is a devoted Trump ally who helped spread his lies about the 2020 election being stolen. This nomination is an attack on our democracy. The future of our country depends on Democrats flipping the House blue in 2024. The fight for fair wages, healthcare, and gun violence prevention all comes down to this.
