Race for control of the VA legislature will tell us which party has the upper hand going into 2024

Voting is already underway in the upcoming Virginia state legislative election. And a new analysis in Politico states that the results will provide the most meaningful read yet on the 2024 political environment.

At a moment when more traditional electoral indicators such as presidential approval rating and economic factors are all over the place, the VA races will help cut through the noise.

Republicans all across the Commonwealth are being supported by Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s massively-funded political action committee. And reports show the GOP has a massive advantage in dark money spending from outside the Commonwealth, too.

With so much at stake, we need to stand up and send a message that Virginia isn’t for sale.

Today we’re asking you to pitch in $20 or more -- split between Tim Kaine’s re-election campaign and the Democratic Party of Virginia  -- to help keep Virginia blue.

Electing Democrats in the upcoming elections is important for so many reasons -- but here are two that we can’t ignore:

  1. We’ll stop the GOP from picking up huge momentum heading into 2024 and deal a blow to their chances at winning back the U.S. Senate and the White House.

  2. A Democratic victory would serve as an important check on Youngkin’s power and block him from achieving his goals of gutting voting protections, banning abortion, and so much more.

The stakes are high, so please, split a donation of whatever amount you can afford between Tim Kaine’s campaign and the Democratic Party of Virginia.

Thanks for your support,
