GLAAD Hosts Inaugural Black Queer Creative Summit

Last month, GLAAD hosted the inaugural Black Queer Creative Summit in Los Angeles. The goal of this revolutionary event was to empower, educate, and train emerging content creators and contributors to achieve industry equity; to combat HIV stigma; and to increase LGBTQ+ storylines featuring people of color. This initiative comes at a time of reckoning in Hollywood, where a more robust pipeline of talent will meet the demand for a more equitable future.

GLAAD’s fourth annual 20 Under 20 list, created in collaboration with Teen Vogue, spotlights young LGBTQ people who are taking the world by storm. They’re sharing their stories across social media, organizing against harmful legislation, and moving through Hollywood as out and proud performers.
