Hi John,

In a few days, the CEOs of the world’s biggest oil companies will be descending on a luxury hotel in London to plot new ways of making profit from climate-wrecking fossil fuels. [1]

For the sake of our planet we have to stop these Big Oil execs from meeting. So here’s the plan:

We need as many people as possible to call the hotel hosting the conference to persuade them that supporting Big Oil is bad for their business and damages their reputation. If we make enough calls we can convince the hotel to cancel the booking - which will be a real blow to these Big Oil CEOs.

So please can you ring the hotel to politely ask them to cancel the conference?

These oil companies knew for decades that their dirty business was driving the climate crisis, but they lied and hid the evidence. [2]

We are now experiencing the result of their deception, as the world confronts unprecedented climate disasters and extreme weather. [3] The climate crisis is here and it’s the fault of the Big Oil Companies.

If these companies are allowed to meet in London next week, they’ll scheme new ways of destroying our planet for profit - so we have to try to get this fossil fuel convention cancelled.

Please can you call the hotel hosting this conference and ask them to cancel?: [link removed] enough of us call, we can politely convince the hotel that supporting Big Oil tarnishes their public image and they will be persuaded to cancel.

And if the hotel does cancel this will send a powerful message to the fossil fuel industry that their scheming is no longer acceptable! Every phone call matters, so please do give the hotel a ring.

Big Oil Companies are making more money than ever before by profiteering off the cost of living crisis. [4] But while their profit soars the climate crisis which they caused, is wreaking havoc at unprecedented rates - hitting people who have contributed the least to global emissions the hardest. [5] How on earth is this fair?

The Intercontinental Hotel should not be allowing these Oil Companies to get together to trash our planet. So please ring the hotel to politely ask them to do the right thing by cancelling the conference.

Thanks for taking action,
