New West Seattle sailing schedule starts Oct. 16; maintenance will temporarily suspend service Oct. 14-15

The West Seattle?Water Taxi is preparing to launch its winter sailing schedule, which continues the popular service that riders have come to depend on seven days a week. As we pivot to the new schedule, we will say goodbye to some late-night weekend trips across Elliott Bay and temporarily pause service for a quick weekend of maintenance.

*Temporary suspension Oct.?14-15*

The water taxi?team will spend this weekend performing maintenance on their vessels and the docks at Pier 50 and Seacrest in preparation of the start of a new season. Friday, Oct. 13, will be the last night to travel from downtown Seattle to Seacrest Dock on Alki between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. until the new schedules start up again next spring.

Over the past?month, we have been engaging with our Metro colleagues from the Latinx Affinity Group?to learn about their unique experiences related to heritage, community, and personal identity, as part of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month. This heritage month is uniquely recognized in the middle of September through the middle of October (Sept. 15 ? Oct. 15), as it coincides with national independence celebrations in several Latin American countries.
