As the violence in Israel and Gaza rages on and the humanitarian needs intensify, Americares is focused on the most urgent medical needs of civilians caught in the crossfire. We are committed to providing support in both Gaza and Israel to meet the health needs of those affected by the crisis.
U.N. agencies have reported that more than 2,700 lives have been lost in Israel and Gaza and more than 423,000 people are displaced in Gaza, with most temporarily sheltering in schools with limited food and clean water.
Americares is working with our longtime partner organization on the ground which is responding to the need for medicines and medical supplies. We are providing funding for antibiotics, intravenous fluids, as well as medications for chronic health conditions vital for maintaining health.
