** Join Alliance for a Green Economy for two ENERGY workshops in March!
------------------------------------------------------------

Location: ArtRage Gallery ([link removed]) , 505 Hawley Ave, Syracuse
Time: 7pm
Thursday, March 5: 100% Renewable How?
A workshop for anyone wondering how exactly is it possible to get to 100% renewable energy ([link removed]) for electricity, heating, and transportation. We've all heard a lot of people naysay about the possibilities of renewable energy. This workshop will set the record straight.

Thursday, March 12: Energy 101 - Guide to New York’s Energy System
An interactive training about your energy bill and your renewable energy options ([link removed]) . It’s also a great primer for climate change activists and energy affordability advocates who want to understand how the energy system works and whom to target to get what we need!

If you're not located near Syracuse, don't worry. We're going to be live-streaming both workshops on the AGREE Facebook page ([link removed]) .

And here's an important action step for everyone in the New York State:
Call Governor Cuomo at 877-235-6537 and tell him to do whatever it takes to halt the flow of gas along Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant.

On February 13, the Office of the Inspector General of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) released a scathing report ([link removed]) on their investigation into the NRC approval of the Spectra AIM Pipeline. This article outlines the main flaws ([link removed]) that the NRC Inspector General found in the NRC's pipeline approval. While the immediate issue is a dangerous fracked gas pipeline alongside a nuclear facility, there is a bigger issue with how the NRC conducts itself. We will be communicating more about that soon.

Thank you for staying in touch! We appreciate everything you are doing to stay informed and green our economy.
