I Stand With Israel

As you know, the terrorist group Hamas has launched a devasting attack on Israel. Their actions are heinous and revolting. To date, we know more than a thousand of innocent civilians have been brutally murdered. Many have been taken hostage. American citizens are among the victims.

I firmly stand with our ally Israel in their fight against Hamas. Israel has every right to defend its borders. The time is now that the U.S. demonstrate our ironclad commitment to the U.S.-Israel relationship and our mutual stand against terrorism. I joined my colleagues in introducing a resolution condemning Hamas’ horrific attacks and reaffirming Israel’s right to defend itself from radical terrorists.

We know Hamas is backed by Iran. That’s why I took action this week by calling on the Biden administration to enforce financial sanctions on Iran following the unprecedented assault. I also urged President Biden to provide answers to Congress on his administration’s approval to give Iran access to $6 billion.

I’m working with the administration to increase transparency. Last year, I introduced the Banking Transparency for Sanctioned Persons Act. This legislation, which was signed into law, ensures Congress can prevent terrorist organizations and other bad actors from accessing funding.

My commitment to Israel is firm and stronger than ever. It is important the U.S. continues to stand with our ally Israel.
