Earlier this year, the Biden administration announced plans to expand DACA recipients’ access to health insurance programs like the Affordable Care Act (ACA), undoing a decade of cruel restrictions.

Unfortunately, we are less than 20 days away from when the ACA enrollment period begins — the period in which DACA recipients would be able to start applying for coverage — and the administration has yet to finalize this policy.

If this rule is not immediately finalized, DACA recipients may miss out on the opportunity to get health coverage.
