I can’t believe that we’re already almost halfway through October. As excited as I am to begin the holiday season, we can’t forget that we’ve got a major election coming up here in Virginia that we need to make our utmost priority. In a moment, I’m going to ask you to donate towards our final mid-month fundraising goal before the election on November 7th, but first, I wanted to give you a glimpse of what Virginia would look like under a Republican controlled state legislature.

If Republicans sweep the General Assembly next month, they’ll pass their abortion ban and join every Southern state in the country in stripping away reproductive health care in some form or fashion. Not only are they ready to roll back reproductive rights, but they’re planning to dismantle all the climate efforts that Democrats have made in years past and loosen gun violence protections throughout the Commonwealth.

This election could make or break Virginia’s future. Can I count on you to pitch in $5 or more today to help us reach our mid-month goal of $10,000 so we can elect Democrats to the General Assembly next month and stop the GOP from taking us backwards?
