There is no doubt that the entire world feels heavy right now.
The heart-wrenching situation in Israel is tough to watch—but we can’t look away—it’s time to look this evil in the face. The Jewish people need us now more than ever, and I am committed to giving them the tools and resources to be victorious against the Hamas terrorist thugs and any other threat.
Mark my words: If Iran has their hands in this mess like the puppet master we know they are, they too need to answer for this savagery. The U.S. can’t continue to bankroll the vicious atrocities we’re seeing play out right now. We have tiptoed around Iran for too long, and our concessions have done nothing to curb their aggression.
This is the last dadgum straw.
I’m standing shoulder-to-shoulder with 100+ of my colleagues to stop the release of $6 billion in frozen funds that the Biden administration recently made available to Iran. There is no doubt that this money would be used to fill in the gaps for Iran as they sponsor terror attacks on Israel—and we can’t allow that to happen.
It is crucial that we remain a supportive and united front for our allies in the Middle East, and this is exactly what’s happening on Capitol Hill right now. Despite the lukewarm reaction from some folks on the other side of the aisle, Republicans are more serious than ever about coming together to rally around our Israeli friends. We will continue to defend them until this thing is through, no matter how long it takes.
