Changing hearts and minds Begins with Home, NPH’s new public information campaign to build the public support we need to advance affordable housing solutions. Our campaign invites our Bay Area community to be part of a new movement of advocates and neighbors— renters and landlords, homeowners and people experiencing homelessness— joining together to unlock a new future for the Bay Area where no one is left behind.

Begins with Home, a Project of NPH’s Work with Shift the Bay

Begins with Home is the result of NPH’s multi-year Shift the Bay initiative to cultivate a deeply collaborative coalition of partnerships, develop a strong strategic framework, and expand our capacity to drive narrative change together. We’re building on what we’ve collectively learned, tested, and refined to reach beyond our inner circles. Now, we’re growing the political will and public support we need from Bay Area residents to create a more affordable, thriving Bay Area. Will you join us?

We can win change and the Bay Area does have the resources to invest in powerful, concrete solutions. So what’s missing? We must disrupt harmful narratives and replace them with stories of courageous hope and calls for collective action to bring forward the transformative changes we need.

Begins with Home is based on the idea that it’s up to every city and every community to make our case loud and clear: Our future begins with us, and a thriving Bay Area begins with home.
