Dear John,
1,858 different books were targeted by MAGA extremists in 2021.1
In 2022, the total jumped to 2,571.2
This year, in addition to MAGA extremists targeting even more books, Republicans introduced 147 bills and policies in states and municipalities across America to ban books.3
That is why MoveOn has printed a huge batch of "Read Banned Booooks" glow-in-the-dark stickers and is giving them away for free while supplies last.

This message is dedicated to opposing the terrifying trend in America of banning books. A trend that has seen unprecedented increases in the past few years.
A trend that has seen Indiana empower MAGA extremist groups to make it easier to ban books from public school libraries.4 That saw Arkansas pass criminal penalties for librarians.5 That saw the Texas governor sign a law giving the state more authority to ban books in local schools.6
But did you know that this trend is primarily the work of 11 people in America? It's true. The Washington Post reported that over 60% of the calls for censorship come from 11 American citizens who scour libraries and file complaint after complaint after complaint.7
Well, if just 11 people can cause this much damage to books written by the LGBTQ+ community and people of color, imagine what millions of us can do if we push back!
And pushing back starts NOW by getting your free sticker and putting it somewhere visible, to spark conversations and solidarity.
Click here to get your free sticker, and then put it somewhere visible for people to see.
Thanks for all you do.
