Friend –
The deadly, unprovoked attacks against Israel and innocent civilians by Hamas are horrific. More than 1,000 Israelis were killed on Saturday in the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. The Blue Dogs condemn these terrorist attacks in the strongest terms possible and we stand with Israel and her people.
This violence against our strongest ally in the Middle East cannot be tolerated and it is doing nothing but creating more fear, anger, and loss. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families as Israel defends itself against this assault.
If you’d like to help victims of this ongoing crisis and stand with us, below are some ways you can contribute. We’re thankful to our Jewish organizations here at home who have helped gather these resources.
Click here to donate to Magen David Adom; your contribution helps support a network of 1,300 ambulances and the 33,000 paramedics, EMTs, first responders and first-aid providers who are on the ground in Israel providing care to the wounded.
Click here to contribute to HIAS – a Jewish humanitarian organization in operation in Israel since 1950. HIAS is launching emergency operations on the ground to help serve those affected by the violence. This work includes supporting displaced Israeli families with basic needs, providing financial assistance for those impacted and in immediate need of housing, and offering counseling and mental health support to individuals — including children — who are suffering after this attack.
United Hatzalah is an emergency rapid response network made up of over 6,500 volunteer medics that help save lives in Israel before an ambulance can arrive. They are in need of emergency funds to equip an additional 1,000 volunteers during this crisis. You can chip in here.
We stand with Israel, we mourn the lives lost, and we pray for justice and peace.
Thank you,
The Blue Dogs
