This week, I joined several of my colleagues in calling on President Biden and the State Department to immediately restrict Iran's access to $6 billion in funds that were unfrozen by the Biden administration as part of a recent U.S.-Iran prisoner swap. Thankfully, this pressure appears to have been successful as it is now being reported that the U.S. and Qatar have agreed to stop payments to Iran.

Make no mistake: appeasement never works and only emboldens the enemy. The United States must return to peace through strength. Check out the letter here.

I recently had the opportunity to meet with Barry and Audrey Hester of Hester Logistics in Heavener, Oklahoma and representatives from the Transportation Intermediaries Association. We discussed issues affecting the transportation industry such as supply chain shortages and the important role third-party logistics providers play in assisting retailers and wholesalers with shipments of stock, warehouse inventory, and packing orders to ship to customers.

Thank you to Brooke Hamilton, third-generation female owner of NPI Corp for hosting me at your facility this week. We discussed her business and the challenges she has faced in the printing industry over the years. I also want to thank Julie Philip from ACG Advocacy and Lisbeth Lyons, Director of Women in Print Alliance for coming in and talking about the importance of this industry and where it is headed. These three women are leaders in their field and it was a great opportunity to gain valuable insight from them.

I use faith as my guide in everything I do – including serving the great state of Oklahoma. It was an honor to join Pastor Bill Scheer at the Guts Church School of Ministry this week to chat with students about what is happening in Washington and across the globe, as well the role faith plays in public service.

This week, I also joined Americans for Prosperity for a policy lunch in Tulsa. I want to thank those who attended and contributed to a productive conversation. I am always grateful for people who are willing to engage and be passionate about our country.
