Dear Supporter,



The light from the most youthful, intensely vibrant, distant galaxy yet
discovered, reached earth just a few weeks ago. I was struck by the fact
that we only now know that it exists, but that we also know, after the 13.1
billion years it took its light to arrive on earth, that this same galaxy
would now be at the end of its life

It is eerily parallel to [2]Vote Smart, where only the most knowledgeable
on earth know the importance of facts, while with the masses it can take a
good deal more time to see the light. Time we may no longer have.

Lying has become acceptable and lies travel faster than facts. Somehow,
they have become more interesting, entertaining and deserving of attention,
while facts are slow, boring and gain less traction.

So, Vote Smart will take a shot, accelerate to warp speed with a new
website, social media, videos, PSAs and a young team that slams the facts
right in the face of any American willing to think and capable of
understanding that FACTS MATTER.

We have been working on this effort for more than a year. Much of what has
been announced you may already know, so I hope you will take the time to
send this email on to someone else who might care.

We have launched a new and explosively powerful website, that took a year
to build, uses a dynamic, responsive design, is easier to access on any
device - desktop, tablet or phone, along with a clean display making the
facts simpler to read and faster to get at, along with new tools that allow
users to instantly compare candidates, find the big lies and expose each
candidate's factual record. Vote Smart's website has gotten just as smart
as we hope voters will be.
