I’m not the most superstitious person in the world. But since it’s Friday the 13th, I’m not taking any chances!

Right now, it would be bad luck if we don’t hit our October mid-month goal. Here’s why:

1. The GOP is willing to spend A LOT to flip Michigan red. We have multiple battleground races in MI that Republicans have already begun targeting to hold the House and flip the Senate.
2. There are too many issues at stake. We may have just narrowly avoided a government shutdown at the beginning of the month, but Republicans are still after making major cuts to education, housing, health and nutrition assistance, and more.
3. We’re almost one year out from Election Day. “Off year” or not, it’s never too early to talk to voters and set a plan for how we’re going to keep Michigan blue.
