John,
The Trump administration has proposed changes to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). If these changes happen, oil companies and frackers could get fast-tracked for projects such as pipelines and power plants without addressing their environmental impact.
Add your name today to protect NEPA.

John,
Trump is proposing another environmental rollback! Now he wants to exclude consideration of climate impacts and fast-track polluting projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
NEPA requires that federal agencies conduct an environmental impact study on any major infrastructure project, such as oil pipelines and power plants. BUT, Trump’s rollback could exclude consideration of climate impacts for these projects by arbitrarily restricting review criteria, like cumulative impacts and shortening timelines.1,2 This is ridiculous.
There is still time to prevent this change from taking place. Trump can’t put this change into effect until after a 60-day public comment period, and we need you to make sure the response against this rollback is overwhelming.
Add your name to let Trump know that we will not allow this latest attack on our environmental protections.

Under the proposed rule change, oil companies and frackers could get fast-tracked final approval for major infrastructure projects. And, it sends a signal to the fossil fuel industry that they can expect little or no resistance for projects that could be devastating for our climate.
This is a step backward at a time when we need to aggressively make changes to avoid the worst consequences of climate change. We need real solutions to transition off fossil fuels, and to stop Big Oil & Gas from wreaking havoc on our land, water and air. Add your name to defend our climate and the National Environmental Policy Act.
