Dear Friend,
We need you to take immediate action to stop Israel’s threatened ground invasion of Gaza.
Today the Israeli military ordered all Palestinians to evacuate the northern part of Gaza, including Gaza City, within 24 hours. This area is home to over 1.1 million people. There is no safe place for these people to go, and no shelter for them if they do flee. The UN has said an evacuation on this scale is impossible.
Take action – tell your representatives to oppose Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza.
Even while asking these people to leave their homes, Israel continues to bomb Gaza, including with banned white phosphorus bombs. Since September 7, at least 1,800 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed including over 583 children.
The ordered expulsion of Palestinians from northern Gaza is seen as a precursor to a ground invasion of Gaza by the Israeli military. If that ground invasion moves forward, thousands more civilians will be killed.
Israel’s attack on Gaza has not followed international humanitarian and human rights law. The complete blockade of Gaza has resulted in a situation where people have no access to food, water, electricity, shelter, or medical care. There is no access to Gaza for humanitarian actors. This is a crisis and it needs to end.
Take action, tell your representative to oppose the ground invasion of Gaza and to instead support immediate humanitarian access and a ceasefire.
Your support is urgently needed. Please join us and make your voice heard.
In peace,
