How States Can Take On Big Medicine
Feat. Minnesota State Senator Erin Murphy
Monday, October 23, 12:00 PM ET / 11:00 AM CT
America’s healthcare system is built on a concentration of corporate power that puts patient care in the hands of giant, for-profit businesses. Americans routinely have their health coverage claims denied arbitrarily, drug prices are spiraling out of control, and large hospital systems are gobbling up facilities and shuttering important services. Health care workers, meanwhile, are constantly subjected to the abuses of monopolistic employers.
State lawmakers across the country, though, are fighting back, passing new laws to rein in the power of Big Medicine.
On October 23 at 12 PM ET/ 11 AM CT , join the American Economic Liberties Project for a virtual workshop on how states can challenge corporate power in the health care industry , featuring keynote remarks from Minnesota State Senator Erin Murphy.
