Hi team,

I’m off to East Asia this morning on an economic mission trip to Japan and South Korea!

Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of representing New Jersey on crucial trips to key trading partners like Germany, Israel, India, and Ireland. And now, I’m excited to do the same over the next nine days in Japan and South Korea.

On this trip, I will lead a large New Jersey delegation in meetings with business, economic, political, and university leaders. We’ll represent New Jersey’s interests and our nearly one million Asian American residents as we share our economic story with the region.

Our mission is to grow and strengthen our state’s longstanding ties with Japan and South Korea by finding areas where we can expand our partnerships in key industries like clean energy, infrastructure, technology, and financial services, just to name a few.

I’m eager to begin these meetings with key leaders in Japan and South Korea, and together, I know we’ll be able to make the most of this historic trade mission to the region.
