Around midnight, the Texas Senate passed a private school voucher bill that would steer $500 million of your tax dollars from neighborhood public schools to unaccountable private ones. 

Worse yet, Gov. Greg Abbott is holding much needed teacher pay raises hostage to try and force legislators to support vouchers pushed by extremist West Texas billionaires who want to dismantle public schools as we know them.
