Happy Super Tuesday!
Today kicks off Election Security Month at CDT. Since more than a quarter of the United States is holding primary elections today in the lead-up to November's presidential election, it seems like a good time to begin our month-long effort to raise awareness of the need for stronger election security measures. CDT's mission is to put democracy and individual rights at the center of the digital revolution, and there is no more tangible example than our work around elections.
Election security is one of the most significant technology issues facing the United States, impacting the infrastructure of our democracy and how citizens use their voices and exercise their rights. Our election systems are vulnerable to disinformation, disruption, and vote tampering, all of which erode voter confidence. These issues can lead to low voter turnout, especially by anyone who may battle additional obstacles to make their vote count. CDT works tirelessly to ensure that our elections remain accurate and fair.
We can only do it with your help. Support CDT today with a charitable contribution, and help us ensure that each vote counts and that the results are reliable. ([link removed]) ([link removed])
Your support will allow us to train election officials on cybersecurity measures to keep our election infrastructure safe. You will empower us to help modernize vote audit practices, focusing on increased accountability and accurate results. You will help educate policymakers on complex election technology topics to better inform their decision-making. And you will help bring technology companies to the table to discuss ways they can better support the election process and protect against voter suppression misinformation campaigns.
We are doing the hard work of making sure that our election infrastructure and election officials are up to the task of protecting your vote. Show your support today with a tax-deductible donation to CDT. ([link removed])
