Tomorrow, my son will be on the ballot for Governor of Louisiana.
That’s not a statement I ever planned to say, but I can’t tell you how proud I am of Shawn.
He’s in this race for all the right reasons: to strengthen access to affordable and accessible health care, to make our communities safer, to improve our public education system, and to continue to build upon his important work as Secretary of Transportation and Development.
And he has the experience to get the job done.
But tomorrow won’t be the last time Shawn is on the ballot. His campaign team tells me he’s poised to make the runoff — and we need to be ready to do this all over again before Election Day on Nov. 18th.
