While we know so much is happening right now, we want to talk about what's going down in Congress for a moment.

House Republicans already recently derailed the budget process – loading funding bills down with hateful anti-LGBTQ attacks and nearly shutting down the government.

And now, with a new speaker up for consideration, Marjorie Taylor Greene still hopes to pass a nationwide ban criminalizing healthcare for transgender youth. It amounts to legal discrimination against LGBTQ people, pure and simple. She and other anti-LGBTQ politicians are trying to control our health care, our education, even the books we can read and the way we raise our children. They want to use our families and bodies to score political points.

Most Americans simply don't want politicians interfering with parents who know their children best or with doctors who just want to provide good healthcare – like you, they want Congress to do what you elected them to do.

Tell your Members of Congress to oppose any and all bills that attack transgender people – and remind them of how you vote, so that they know how to vote. Politicians aren't doctors – they're politicians.

We also want to know what – and if – you hear back from your members of Congress too, ACLU Supporter. So if you sent a letter before, send it again. And we'll be in touch soon to ask about how they reply. Keep an eye out for how your elected Congress is working for you, and make sure they know we're NOT going away.
