UNITED E-NEWS October 2023 - Staying UNITED in the face of horror

Dear friends of UNITED,

This E-News was supposed to bring you many interesting updates and initiatives foreseen for this October. Unfortunately, together with these exciting info, we are here with the heaviest of hearts hearing the news of yet more tragedies unfolding.

The events of the past few days in Israel and Gaza have deeply saddened and concerned the international community.  The ongoing violence. reminds us all of the dire costs of conflict and the importance of pursuing peace at every turn. As we witness the escalation of this conflict, siege, and the potential for a prolonged military engagement, it is paramount to remember that there is no military solution to this deeply rooted issue. True security for all parties can only be achieved through dialogue, understanding, and addressing the root causes of the conflict.

Also the news of the flight of thousands of Armenian from the area of Nagorno - Karabakh after the latest evolution of the conflict with Azerbaijan, the tragic updates still coming from Ukraine... everywhere there are people who are living in fear, under violence and who have their rights constantly denied.

Call for Peaceful resolution of conflict in Gaza & Israel

#ResistRadicalTogether! UNITED in Budapest

In such times we are here and we'll keep standing,  even more so we are eager to announce that we are holding a UNITED conference in Budapest, from 27th of November to 1st of December.
The turbulence of our times isn’t just evident in headlines and statistics; it's palpable in the escalating violence, the seething undercurrents of mistrust, and, most alarmingly, in the radicalization of our young generation. Many turn a blind eye, but not us. We recognize the gravity, we see the patterns, and we dare to confront them head-on.

This makes our upcoming conference in Budapest not just another event, but a resurrection call. Amidst the shadows that seem to be lengthening, Budapest awaits – not just with its rich cultural tapestry, but with the promise of hope, action, and a brighter, UNITED future.

You can find more info and the form to apply here, so take a look and spread the word that UNITED conferences are back, open for people of all ages and ready to take collective action.
