Dear Friend,
Depending on where you live, fall can mean crisp autumn leaves, cooler weather, football games on the weekends and even starting to make your holiday plans.
It's also the time for our exciting October $100,000 Match Challenge.
A generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has pledged to match every gift, up to a total of $100,000, if we raise the same amount by November 15. Their gift will support the Global Innovation Fund to accelerate and expand promising Alzheimer's disease research, while yours can go twice as far to advance research and provide care and support to people living with Alzheimer's.
When you make your first gift it can go twice as far in our fight against Alzheimer's. We need you with us to make the most of this 2X match challenge — you'll help us continue advancing global research, while providing help and hope to families facing Alzheimer's.
Any gift you make today, up to $100,000, can help us achieve this match challenge and go 2X as far in our work to combat this devastating disease.
Please make your gift during our October $100,000 Match Challenge. |

Friend,
more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease, and that number is expected to more than double by 2050. Given the devastating rate at which this global public health crisis is accelerating, I hope you'll seize this special opportunity to DOUBLE your impact on our work to:
- Support individuals and families living with Alzheimer's or another dementia by providing access to local resources and in-person support groups, digital tools like our resource guide ALZNavigator®, our online community, ALZ Connected®, and our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900).
- Advance the best dementia science worldwide through our current investment of more than $360 million in over 1,000 best-of-field research projects in 53 countries spanning six continents.
- Advocate unrelentingly for state and federal policies which increase critical research funding and support all those affected by Alzheimer's.
Before you head into the weekend, will you make your first gift, while your generosity can go TWICE as far to advance global research and help provide care and support?
Right now, over 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. By 2050, the number of Americans living with Alzheimer's is projected to rise to nearly 13 million.
There is hope, however: We've entered an exciting new era in our fight. Treatments that could meaningfully change the course of the disease for people living with early Alzheimer's have received Food and Drug Administration approval. While a tremendous step forward, these breakthrough treatments are not the answer for everyone.
Our work is far from done, and we can't stop now. When you give to our October $100,000 Match Challenge, you can have TWICE the impact on furthering our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Please don't let this exciting $100,000 match run out without making your first gift. Thank you in advance for donating at a time when your gift can go twice as far to bring us closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
With hope and gratitude,
Donna McCullough
Chief Mission and Field Operations Officer
P.S. I'm grateful to our friend for offering this $100,000 matching gift challenge. But I'm also grateful to you. It takes gifts of all sizes to support our work, and I appreciate any amount you can give today. Please join us today and make your very first gift to our October $100,000 Match Challenge. |
