make sure Congress does its duty to pass funding to keep our government open
and get back to governing properly.

→ Reintroducing the Suicide Prevention Act – legislation that provides new
resources to help prevent and reverse the tragic rise in suicide rates
throughout the country.

→ Reintroducing the Clean Energy Victory Bonds Act – a bicameral bill to give
individuals the opportunity to buy Clean Energy Victory Bonds and help build
America’s clean-energy future.

→ Leading 139 House Democrats in a letter to House and Appropriations
Committee leadership requesting that they advance responsible appropriations
legislation free of poison pill provisions and adequately fund important
government programs at the levels agreed to in the bipartisan debt ceiling
package.

This is all just within the span of two weeks! Despite Republicans creating
unnecessary funding crises that sucks up so much of the oxygen on the Hill,
Doris leads with grace and strength – fighting for people like you and me on a
daily basis.
