Team,
This week, we’d like to highlight labor activist Dolores Huerta.
|
Huerta co-founded the National Farmworkers Association with César Chávez in 1962. It later became the United Farm Workers and the largest farm worker organization in the U.S.
Together, they led a national grape boycott, which secured better and safer work practices for farmworkers in California. Through the United Farm Workers, Huerta secured better wages and working conditions for farmworkers across the nation and built a foundation for robust workers’ rights.
As workers of all industries strike to demand fair pay and better working conditions, we look to labor champions like Dolores Huerta to guide our efforts.
