Today, I went up against my opponent in the first debate for governor. It meant so much to know that you have my back, and I hope I made you proud.

This debate was a chance for me to share firsthand the progress that we've made over the last four years, and my plans to continue fighting for Kentuckians in every part of the state. While I focused on our future – my opponent spent his time lying about my record and trying to deceive Kentuckians.

It's more clear than ever that Kentuckians deserve better than Daniel Cameron – but defeating him won't be easy. Cameron has the backing of outside groups who are spending over $21 million to try and defeat me.

They'll continue to spend whatever it takes to attack me and try to buy this race. With less than one month to go, we can't waste any time.
