Join our growing movement of politicians pledging to reject contributions from the for-profit health care industry.

NNU - Medicare for All!

Why has the United States fallen behind other industrialized countries and failed to establish a single-payer health care system that guarantees health care for all? Because the campaigns of too many politicians in power are financially supported by the for-profit health care industry who want to maintain the status quo and keep making money off of keeping us sick.

That’s why we created the Patients Over Profits (POP) pledge, a nationwide campaign calling on politicians to take our pledge to reject contributions of $200 or more from executives, lobbyists, and PACs affiliated with the for-profit health care industry, including private insurers, pharma corporations, and private hospitals.

Our list of pledge-takers is growing day by day, with 15 new signers in the last two weeks alone! Recent signers include Vermont Senator Tanya Vyhovsky; Justin Brannan, New York City Councilmember for the 43rd District; David Michel, Assistant Majority Whip for the Connecticut House of Representatives; and multiple candidates for the Tucson city council and mayor of Tucson. A huge thanks to the Patients Over Profits volunteers who sent emails, attended events, and made calls to get each of these signers.

We need more leaders to join this growing list. Are YOU an elected official or political candidate running for office? If so, take the Patients Over Profits pledge today to reject corporate health care money →

TAKE THE PLEDGE

Not an elected official or candidate, but know someone who is? Forward this email to them and urge them to take the pledge!

Together, we can reduce the for-profit health care industry’s influence on our political system from local city councils all the way up to the U.S. House and Senate, and finally create the health care reform that patients across the country need and deserve.

In solidarity,

Nurses’ Campaign to Win Medicare for All
