Big news, Jack: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has finally stopped pretending to be a Democrat after running an antisemitic, anti-Ukraine, anti-vaxx campaign against President Biden in the presidential primary. Now he's running as an independent and courting right-wing megabillionaire Elon Musk.

Oh, did I say "big news?" I meant "totally predictable news that everyone saw coming." What else would you expect from a guy being promoted by Trump mastermind Steve Bannon? Here's why I'm writing to you about it now: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been pursuing a frivolous lawsuit against Daily Kos to get us to unmask a pseudonymous community writer on our site. We've had to fight this in courts in both New York and California over the past two years.

Fighting this suit is expensive and, while Kennedy has a family fortune upon which he can draw, Daily Kos doesn't. We are an independent, progressive outlet.
