You make our mission possible

Every day, Families in Transition works to build strong, collaborative relationships with our clients and partners to provide the best support possible. The work we do every day throughout the year becomes even more critical as we approach the holiday season and winter months. This year and every year we rely on your participation to help us shelter, feed, and house members of our community – we can’t do it without you!

Join us for the 30th Annual Breakfast with Keynote Speaker Mark Horvath ([link removed])

For the last 30 years, our community has come together at our Annual Breakfast to raise critical funds and awareness for programs and services to support our community members in need. This year, to celebrate this milestone, we are thrilled to welcome Mark Horvath, Founder and CEO of Invisible People, as our Keynote Speaker.

Invisible People ([link removed]) is a nonprofit dedicated to educating the public about homelessness through innovative storytelling, news, and advocacy. Mark began this mission in 2008 while he was experiencing homelessness with only his camera, a social media account, and $45 to address the systemic issues contributing to the cycle of homelessness. Today, Invisible People has become a trusted resource of major brands and cities like Hanes, Ford, Pepsi, General Motors, Ritz Crackers, the City of Los Angeles, and the City of San Francisco to inspire action and advocacy.

We hope that you will join Mark and other members of the Families in Transition community this year by committing to attend, donate, or sponsor our Annual Breakfast. Click here to learn more. More From Our Community

WMUR has recently launched an initiative called Faces of Homelessness ([link removed]) to shine a light on those within our community who have struggled to find a place to live. In the coming months, they will share stories of individuals currently experiencing homelessness to destigmatize the concept of what it means to be homeless in the State of New Hampshire.

This week you will meet Stephen ([link removed]), who is currently staying in our Adult Emergency Shelter after losing his wife. While everyone’s journey into homelessness is different and oftentimes unexpected, one thing remains true – we are all human and deserve compassion. Let’s work together to raise awareness, hold space, and break the cycle of homelessness.
