I have a personal request for you: Can you chip in $5 toward my re-election campaign before the upcoming mid-month deadline? I’ll explain more in just a minute.

Look, I know $5 seems like a small amount compared to the millions Republicans are spending to try to flip the Senate red.

But it will take all of us to keep New Mexico and the Senate blue — and thousands of folks giving $5 at a time will make a real difference.

We can’t afford to lose our Democratic Senate Majority — but Republicans only need to flip two seats to hand the Senate gavel to Mitch McConnell.

If that happens, Republicans could roll back our hard-earned progress toward tackling climate change and strengthening our economy, and move forward with extreme policies like a national abortion ban, cutting vital programs like Social Security and Medicare, and more.

That’s why I’m asking this team to come together to help us build a strong grassroots foundation and protect our narrow majority.

Will you pitch in $5 — or any amount — toward my campaign’s mid-month deadline to help keep New Mexico and the Senate Majority in Democratic hands?

Small-dollar donations have helped us keep our majority before, and they can do it again. Thank you for your support.

— Martin
