John, Today marks 52 years since the House approved the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). However, over half a century later, it is still not enshrined in our Constitution. And here’s the hard truth: far-right groups and politicians stand in opposition to the ERA because they fear it would open the door for Democrats to pass legislation protecting our rights, our bodies, our jobs, our communities, and our freedoms. I’ll keep it simple, the GOP will stop at nothing to chip away at our fundamental rights. And while they have the majority in Congress and the funds to prop up extreme candidates to hold that majority, some Democrats are falling behind. This is a big problem. When grassroots fundraising drops, it puts our Democratic campaigns in a vulnerable position, without the resources to defend against these extreme attacks. We can’t afford to continue this trend.
