Back in June, I stood at a podium in Oakland County and made one of the easiest decisions thus far in my career.

I endorsed my good friend Elissa Slotkin for Senate in 2024.

Endorsing Elissa was a no-brainer. We were both elected to office in 2018 and have shared the same goal since: Protect Michigan’s working families no matter what.

And that’s exactly what Elissa’s done. We’ve worked alongside each other for years to:

• Solve the supply chain crisis by passing the CHIPS Act into law.
• Tackle the security and economic threat of China.
• Increase the number of job opportunities for Michiganders.
• Protect abortion access, LGBTQ+ equality, voting rights and more.

I know firsthand that Elissa is the kind of person who acts on behalf of her words, and her record speaks volumes about the kind of leader she’ll be in the Senate.

While I’m proud to work alongside Elissa to strengthen the state we’ve always called home, I’m not being dramatic when I say we’re going to need all of the support we can get to win.

With multiple Republican opponents jumping into the race, and experts predicting Michigan to be one of the most expensive Senate races across the country, we need to take action now.
