Dear all,
I am writing to you in the wake of troubling events this week, with devastating attacks by Hamas terrorists in Israel, and incidents of anti-Semitic vandalism targeting our Jewish community in Golders Green.
On the former, I am clear, as is the Prime Minister and HM Government more widely, that these attacks are totally barbaric and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Hamas’ actions are intolerable, and their violence against Israeli civilians - in particular women and children - are unmitigated human rights abuses.
The Prime Minister has, rightly, already expressed our solid and unwavering support for Israel, and I can assure constituents that I am working with my colleagues in government on what aid we can provide to Israel, and to British nationals currently in the country.
I have lobbied this week for the UK to begin running repatriation flights for stranded Britons, and I'm delighted that the Government has today announced ([link removed].) that it will do so. I have published a full statement on this HERE ([link removed]) , and FCDO advice for British nationals in Israel can be found HERE ([link removed])

Mike speaks to GB News about vandalism in Golders Green
On the incidents of vandalism in Golders Green earlier this week, including the spray painting of "FREE PALESTINE" on a Tube bridge and criminal damage to a nearby Jewish business, I have been working with the Metropolitan Police and Community Safety Team (CST) officials to ensure that the concerns of our local Jewish community are taken seriously.
There has been a significantly increased police presence in areas with large numbers of Jewish residents this week, and I will be working to ensure this continues. A statement from the Borough Commander can be found HERE ([link removed])
I also had the opportunity to speak at Hampstead Garden Suburb synagogue on Tuesday night, to express my support for the Jewish community in my constituency following the shocking events of the past days. My position, and my words for the British Jewish community, are absolute. I stand with them now, tomorrow, and the next day, as I have for the past 30 years.
Am Yisroel Chai.
