March 3rd, 2020

International Women’s Day 2020 looks at how we can all work to create a gender-equal world using the tag line, ‘Each for Equal’. The theme itself steps outside of the cis-gender binary, but there is a need to call greater attention to the gender minorities and women gender minorities to whom this day also belongs. Our International Women's Day campaign, #EachforInclusion aims to do just that.

The #EachforInclusion campaign strives to emphasize the need to include gender minorities in conversations and celebrations of women’s rights, feminism, and gender equality. Throughout the campaign, we're encouraging folks to share success stories, continued struggles, and ways to support the inclusion of gender minorities and women gender minorities.

Join us in including gender minorities by using #EachforInclusion this International Women's Day. Together we can broaden the dialogue of gender equality in a way that supports cis-women, trans women (and trans men), Two-Spirit people, non-binary people, as well as gender fluid, gender non-conforming and gender diverse folks.

If International Women’s Day is about achieving gender equality, then #EachforEqual means #EachforInclusion

How will you include gender minorities this #IWD2020 and all year? Join the conversation on social media #EachforInclusion @EgaleCanada.

Egale goes to Dallas for LGBTQI Global Symposium

We recently had the pleasure of participating in an LGBTQI Global Symposium hosted in Dallas, Texas by a collective of organizations including the World Affairs Council, Resource Center, the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.

The symposium brought together a combination of US diplomats, activists, corporations, and community organizations in an effort to learn from one another on how we can improve LGBTQI human rights.
