Today was a dark day for democracy. Our opponent WROTE legislation enabling MAGA extremists across the Commonwealth to ban classic books like the Diary of Anne Frank and To Kill a Mockingbird. After we released an ad holding her accountable [[link removed]] , she held a press conference yesterday threatening to sue our campaign if we don’t take it down.
It is a fact that our opponent’s bill has been used to ban books. And let’s be clear John, if you give extremists the tools to promote hate, they will use them. Senator Dunnavant MUST reflect on the tool she provided to the most extreme right-flank of her party and take responsibility for doing so.
And in the meantime, we won’t back down. Our community deserves to hear the truth. With less than 4 weeks left in the campaign, it’s so important that we keep our message on air, communicating with voters - no matter if it makes our opponent uncomfortable.
