In January, we watched the Republican Party struggle for 15 rounds of votes to elect a Speaker of the House. They nearly pushed the nation to the brink of default and a job-killing recession with their threats and in-fighting.
Now, a group of MAGA extremists, led by Matt Gaetz, has successfully removed Kevin McCarthy, the first-ever removal of a House Speaker in U.S. history. We can't afford to let our government continue in this state of dysfunction.
