I'm writing today to urgently ask you to split a contribution — of anything you can — between our re-election campaign and my friend Summer Lee.

Here's why:

Even before her historic election to Congress in 2022, Summer has always taken on big fights with wealthy and powerful special interests who put profits over the lives of working people.

One of the consequences of doing that — as our movement knows all too well — is that they have a tremendous amount of resources at their disposal to fight back with.

Right-wing super PACs have spent millions of dollars last cycle trying to defeat progressives across the country, including me and Summer.

In many cases, it worked. And for the two of us, it was too close for comfort.

We already know that these same groups are gearing up for 2024, and that Summer and I are two of the right wing's top-priority targets in all of Congress.

The simple truth is that they'd love nothing more than to silence the voices of two strong, progressive, Black women who have committed their lives to fighting for justice.

They've already begun recruiting establishment challengers to primary us, and it won't be long before bigoted, dark money-funded attack ads are blanketing the airwaves in Minneapolis and Pittsburgh.

The billionaires who fund these attacks are the same ones who didn't spend a dime helping any Democrats get elected in 2022, instead bankrolling luxury vacations for Supreme Court justices who dismantled reproductive rights, affirmative action, and student debt forgiveness.

It's absolutely critical that all of us stand together and fight back as soon as we can. Because together is the only way we can defeat them again.

Summer Lee is an essential ally in our progressive movement's collective struggle, so please:

Can you split a contribution — of anything you can — between my campaign and Summer Lee's today? Both of us need to have the resources to fight back against the billionaires and their super PACs in 2024, and your support is the only way we can do that.
