Look, it’s 2023, this statement shouldn’t be controversial: Who people love and how they personally identify is their own business, no one else's. 

Bans on same-sex marriages were struck down by the Supreme Court in 2015. Who people choose to love shouldn’t be something we are even debating. And yet, Republicans across the country are stirring up fears against the LGBTQ community and using extremist language to drive people apart and inflict real harm on everyday Americans. We can’t fall for it. 

Politicians shouldn’t be running for office on the basis of attacking people’s private lives or involving the government in their personal business — that’s the kind of BS the Blue Dogs are trying to stop.

Instead, Blue Dogs believe in freedom — the freedom to love who you love, marry who you want, and be who you are.

If you’re ready to support common-sense Democrats in some of the toughest races across the country, then chip in now. 

Love is love, plain and simple. Fear-mongering and spreading hateful rhetoric never helped anyone get a better job, find child care, or afford their medical bills.
