Dear Friend,
On October 7th, the terrorist organization Hamas launched unprovoked and heinous attacks on the people of Israel. Over a thousand Israelis have been murdered and hundreds have been taken hostage, including American citizens. Our prayers are with those Americans, the people of Israel, their families, and loved ones around the world. America will always stand with Israel – our strongest ally in the Middle East. Let me be very clear, Israel has the absolute right to defend itself against this brutality. As we continue to closely monitor this situation, House Republicans will ensure Israel gets the support it needs.

Yesterday, House Republicans introduced H. Res. 768, a resolution reaffirming our support for Israel and its right to defend itself. I am proud to be a cosponsor of this important resolution that reiterated America’s commitment to our allies in Israel. Specifically, the resolution declares Hamas to be a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist organization and condemns the act of war carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023. It also reaffirms the 2016 U.S.–Israel Memorandum of Understanding, which was a pledge by the United State to provide Israel with the financial resources to protect and defend the country. This resolution also condemns Iran’s support of Hamas and calls for sanctions on Iran to prevent any further funding of terrorist groups.
