Since day one of this election, I've pledged to be open and transparent about our campaign. With 27 days left before election day, I want to personally give you an update on where we stand.
Across North Hempstead, our team has been meeting voters at their doors, at local supermarkets, and on the phone. I'm proud to have a record to run on and it's heartwarming when voters come up to me on the campaign trail to tell me about how Project Independence helps their mother get to the doctor. This is the ideal of a participatory democracy. Campaigns can, and should, build a dialogue around a candidate's experience and achievements.
Our campaign is strong. But with less than one month left, we still need your help. The national GOP is pouring money into my opponent's campaign and spreading lies to suppress the Democratic vote.
