Celebrating 30 years of transformative work!

Dear John,

Sheryl Lee Ralph and Senator Vincent Hughes are renowned advocates and activists who have been excelling in their respective fields for decades, and have been married since 2005.

Actress, activist, and philanthropist Sheryl Lee Ralph most recently won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2022 for her role as Barbara Howard on the award-winning sitcom Abbott Elementary—making her the first Black woman to receive that award in 35 years. She was also awarded the first Red Ribbon Award at the UN for her unique use of the arts in HIV/AIDS activism.

Representing Pennsylvania State’s 7th Senatorial District and serving as Democratic Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Hughes is a champion for expanding healthcare for low-income workers, raising the minimum wage, defending the right to vote, and fighting for increased funding for public education. He works locally and nationally in the effort to rebuild crumbling school infrastructures across the state and around the nation.

RSVP by Friday, November 3 to join us as we honor Sheryl Lee Ralph and Senator Vincent Hughes, and celebrate their commitment to social transformation through the arts and policy.
