By now, we all have seen, read, or heard the news out of Israel.

The USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group has been sent to the Eastern Mediterranean. Our largest aircraft carrier and her crew are on duty, accompanied by several cruisers and destroyers.

The Biden administration has confirmed that several Americans were among those captured by Hamas.

And all the while, we have empty seats at the highest levels of our Military.

There is no confirmed Chief of Naval Operations, with Admiral Lisa Franchetti waiting to fill the top seat in the Navy.

The US Fifth Fleet is without a confirmed commander.

More than 300 other seats remain unfilled, critical pieces of the most powerful Military on Earth.
