Back in January, it took 15 rounds of votes for Republicans to elect a House speaker. Since then, the chaos has only escalated.
House Republicans have consistently put their partisan games ahead of the interest of the country – from launching a baseless impeachment inquiry to bringing our government to the brink of a disastrous government shutdown.
Multiple House Republicans have indicated that they won't support Steve Scalise for Speaker, even though he just won an internal GOP Speaker vote, setting up another chaotic scramble on the House floor to select a Speaker.
But no matter which extreme Republican ultimately seizes the gavel, one thing remains constant – we need to take back the House majority in 2024 to restore strong, principled leadership.
