Hello,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: it’s a time to raise awareness around a disease that has impacted millions of Americans. This month can be used as an opportunity to educate on the most common risk factors and stress the importance of preventative care.

We want to remember those who have lost their lives to breast cancer, and acknowledge how breast cancer has impacted many of your lives; one in every eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

Your local hospital or hospital system is a resource to provide support, preventative care and – in the event of diagnosis – treatment to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages, increasing rates of survival.

One of the most important prevention methods is to incorporate routine screening, self-exams, and other lifestyle changes, including routine physicals with your healthcare provider. We’ve put together additional resources, and links to more information, on our website. Read our blog to learn more.
