Dear Friend,

Growing up in Bangladesh, I was constantly punished by my mother for not “behaving like a girl”.

I remember leaving my home in the morning wearing feminine clothes, and then changing into masculine clothes when I got to school. I did this because I couldn’t be my true self around my family.

In college, my family found out about my lesbian relationship and kicked me out of the house. I had no choice but to flee and take refuge with an aunt here in the U.S.

I found Immigration Equality, who provided me with the most wonderful lawyers and helped me win asylum! I finally felt safe and free.

Donate $100 to support free legal services for LGBTQ asylum seekers like me, so that they too, can experience the joy of coming out.

Coming out as a trans man was a life-saving experience for me. Being able to be my true, authentic self is something I thought I would never be able to experience. Unfortunately, not every LGBTQ person is safe enough to be able to come out.

Today, let's share the gift of coming out to LGBTQ asylum seekers all across the globe!

Your donation of $100 goes directly to free legal services for LGBTQ refugees from all over the world.
