Research: New Data Tool on Immigrants in U.S. Economy
Our friends at the Immigration Research Initiative (IRI) launched an exciting new data tool called “Data in Detail” this week. The tool will enable policy advocates, legislators, and journalists to learn more about the role of immigrants in the U.S. economy. Data in Detail shows data about immigrant populations at the national level and for each state and Washington, D.C. It also provides data on the share of economic output that can be attributed to immigrants. Lastly, it also provides key insights into some demographic characteristics of immigrants, like their most common birth countries, English proficiency, and educational attainment, as well as key information about immigrants’ economic outcomes.
We hope PIF members will take a moment to scroll through the tool!

Children: Getting Your Kids the Benefits They Need: A Guide for Immigrant Families
Connect families in your community with public programs that can help them thrive!
PIF and partners have developed a series of educational materials that help inform immigrant families about their rights and protections in accessing benefits, as well as share the many benefits that members of their family may be eligible to receive. Available in 9 languages. The materials link to an online “checklist” for possible benefits, and links to those programs.

Health: Did You Lose Medicaid? Stay Connected to Health Care
PIF and partners have added to their suite of Medicaid “Unwinding” educational materials, including an informational flier for people who have recently learned that they lost their Medicaid coverage, ideal for sharing at pharmacies, health clinics, and other locations where they may first learn of the interruption in their coverage. All materials are meant to be adapted to your use – add a logo, a QR code for easy navigation to supportive services, and whatever will best help your community stay informed and stay connected to health care.
